Is anyone else here delusional enough that when don't understand something about the game engineer your using, you think "this would be easier if I just wrote my own engine."
I know that's not true at all, and it a great way to never get anything done, but my brain keeps telling me to write my own engine.
And obviously writing my own engine involves writing my own scheme interpreter with JIT, because I'm not going to script my engine some kind of existing battle tested language like LUA. What if I end up shipping a single line of code that doesn't get executed? It could be a disaster.
